How to Grant Collaborator Access to Redigeo

To investigate and resolve certain issues, our support team may ask you to grant Shopify Collaborator Access.

This guide explains how to share your Collaborator code and approve our request. A collaborator account is Shopify's secure way to grant temporary access without sharing your login credentials, and you can remove our access at any time.

Why does Redigeo need Collaborator Access?

Collaborator Access allows our support team to investigate redirect-related issues directly in your store and provide faster, more accurate assistance.

Depending on your request, we may use this access to:

  • Review your redirect rules and configuration
  • Investigate unexpected redirect behavior
  • Check for theme or app conflicts that may affect redirects
  • Verify your app settings and storefront configuration
  • Help configure or optimize your redirect setup

We only request the permissions necessary to assist with your specific support case.

Before you begin

Before we can send a collaborator request, please provide our support team with:

  • Your Shopify store URL (for example: your-store.myshopify.com)
  • Your 4-digit Shopify Collaborator code

Once we receive these details, we'll send a collaborator request to your store.

Step 1: Find your Collaborator code

  1. Log in to your Shopify Admin.
  2. Go to SettingsUsers.
  3. Do one of the following:
  • If your store is part of a Shopify organization, click Users.
  • Otherwise, click Users & permissions.
  1. Click Security.
  2. Under the Collaborators section, locate your 4-digit Collaborator code.
  3. Copy the code and send it to our support team.
tip

Your Collaborator code doesn't grant anyone access to your store. It simply allows trusted Shopify Partners, like Redigeo, to submit a collaborator request.

Step 2: Wait for our collaborator request

After receiving your store URL and Collaborator code, our support team will send a collaborator request to your Shopify store.

Shopify will notify you when the request is ready for review.

Step 3: Approve the collaborator request

  1. In your Shopify Admin, go to SettingsUsers.
  2. Locate the pending collaborator request from Redigeo.
  3. Review the requested permissions.
  4. Click Accept request.

Once approved, our support team will be able to access your store and begin investigating the issue.

Good to know

  • Collaborator accounts don't count toward your Shopify staff account limit.
  • You'll never need to share your Shopify password with our team.
  • Access is only granted after you approve the collaborator request.
  • You can remove Redigeo's access at any time from SettingsUsers.
